Trailbound Tech
Self-hosted infrastructure, communications, amateur radio, and off-grid systems — built to understand the entire stack from RF to storage.
Featured Projects
A practical portfolio spanning infrastructure, RF, field communications, automation, local compute and open-source services.
Off-Grid Communications
SATCOM, HF radio, deployable compute, local networking and offline knowledge designed to keep working when conventional infrastructure does not.
Trailbound Homelab
The infrastructure backbone: Proxmox, ZFS, 10GbE, containers, edge services, GPU workloads and resilient storage.
OpenTAKServer
Self-hosted TAK services for maps, situational awareness and field communications, deployed as part of the Trailbound edge stack.
Self-Hosted AI
Private local inference, GPU passthrough and experiments with on-premises AI services and model APIs.
Media Infrastructure
Storage, automation, GPU transcoding, service routing and observability across a self-hosted media platform.
Private Cloud
Locally controlled files, photos and personal cloud services backed by purpose-built ZFS datasets.
Latest Field Notes
Build logs, troubleshooting notes and project updates from the lab and the field.
Communications that do not assume the internet exists.
The Off-Grid Communications project combines long-haul radio, satellite connectivity, portable services and offline knowledge into a layered system that degrades gracefully.
